To all the team at Collideascope, THANK YOU SO MUCH!!   In an unfortunate accident on my Harley, the gas tank took a decent impact. An initial phone call to Lawrence at Collideascope to inquire about tank decals, soon turned into me sending photos of the tank, and excellent advice from Lawrence on the best method of repair. Living in regional Tasmania, with limited access to specialist repairers, it was a “no brainer” for me to send the tank to Collideascope. Their willingness to help, great advice, professionalism, and especially, the quality of workmanship, has meant that the tank is back on the bike, in original showroom condition!! It’s just been a brilliant outcome, all resulting from one phone inquiry. Thanks again!!

I gave them broken fairings, side panels and a rusty fuel tank. The results are absolutely OUTSTANDING! Totally unbelievable what they’ve been able to do in restoring these old parts. Absolutely incredible. Thanks so much Lawrence and the Team

The arrogance of the owner is beyond belief.

(NOTE: Collide A Scope Motorcycles had my front wheel off the last two times.)

Took my bike in for tyres, got a phone call telling me it needed a new chain and sprockets. I said "I know, I’ve ordered them". I picked my bike up with the new tyres and the owner said "I have taken it for a test ride and it’s running a bit rough needs a service". I told him "all good, I'll do it". He didn’t like that. I got on my bike and road the tiny 1.5kms home. Next day I went for a longer ride and noticed the speedo wasn't working, I rang Collide A Scope Motorcycle and said "I don’t think that the speedo sensor is aligned properly as it looks like there is an alloy lug on the forks that wasn’t engaged in a slot on the sensor". I told him that "the speedo was definitely working before, I was getting new tyres after a rego check and I knew that everything was working". No angry accusations on my part, things happen. The owner told me to bring it in and they would have a look at it.

I took it in. They hoisted it up had a look with torches and said, "the lug and slot were not meant to align and the sensor was sitting correctly". I looked, with the bike elevated and the torches on the spot and I had to agree. The owner accused me of blaming them for not doing their job right. I said "the speedo was definitely working before the tyre change, things break and the fact that it was working when I road it in suggests it was an assembly problem after the tyre change" but I also said "things wear out and that it is possible that it had just done that". They offered to take the wheel off to have a look and I said "yes thanks". They found that 2 of the 4 plastic engaging teeth had been broken off the sensor so that the sensor was not rotating with the wheel. The 25 year of experience Suzuki mechanic suggested that "the breaks were old and that the two remaining teeth had lost their tips through wear", he also said "that if he had done the tyre change he would have noticed this and made a note". I accepted this but the owner continued to harass me for accusing them of not doing their job properly. I had a small smile on my face as I found his behaviour strange and unnecessarily aggressive. I was thinking the funny thing is they were the last people to have the front wheel of when they put tyres on the bike 3 years ago. The owner didn’t like my little smile and told me so. I was told to wait outside while the put the wheel back on.

The owner wheeled my bike out and said "How are we going to handle this? Are we going to lug it out like gentlemen”. I looked at him, a stocky bulldog of a man 20 years younger than me and I grinned again as I thought “what the hell does LUG mean, does it have a silent s at the front of it”. He proceeded to put the keys in my bike and switch it on. I told him not to ride it, but he did, up the industrial complex driveway and back.

We both agreed that we would never do business together again.

    Never, ever again!

    SECOND ENTRY:
I purchased a new part and replaced the broken one and just want to share the pictures and let you be the judges. The only way I can see these plastic tabs breaking off the sensor magnet is if the taps are not lined up with the recesses in the alloy wheel when the spacer is put in on the other side of the axle and the alloy wheel forced onto the plastic tabs. Colidascope had my front wheel off the last 2 times. Both for tyre changes.

Please take a look at the pictures, there are some very fresh little broken pieces. Let me know if you think that Colicascope owes me $48 for the part and an apology for their behaviour.

Thanks Laurence for a excellent job, it turned out better than i thought it would . Custom paint job on my 78 Ducati Darmah started with the tank having to be relined , the old liner was that bad the top of the tank had to be cut off to remove it. The end result i'm more than happy with, the welding on top of the tank is faultless .
I would highly recommend Collide A Scope Motorcycles to any one wanting a paint job . They were easy to deal with and explained every process of the job to me.
    Thanks again

I brought my Kawasaki Ninja 250 for a service here in Sept 2016. At first the mechanic told me it'll be done within the hour so I can wait until it's done. All I asked was for a oil + filter change, and spark plugs replacement.

Suddenly they told me that in order to reach the oil filter for my bike they had to take off the fairings and the fuel tank, so it'll take another hour to be done with. And without asking my permission they changed the brake fluid.

In total they charged me around $320 for oil, filter, sparkies, brake fluid and 2 hours of labour.

Today I was watching a video on YouTube on how to change the oil and filter for my bike's model. Turns out the oil filter was directly beside the oil drain plug which is underneath the bike. Anyone can access that part without taking off any fairings or fuel tank to do an oil + filter change.

Shame on you for ripping people off. Shame on you.
